[abcde] rough development cut (1.9)
Hi, I've finally gotten the new codebase to run through CD's (well, two of
them :), so as promised I'm releasing a tarball of that.
I'm calling it 1.9. It is almost a complete rewrite (size of diff > size of
original files), and will become 2.0 once things settle down.
You can find it at http://lly.org/~rcw/abcde/development/
Those of you who were interested in making modifications to abcde, this is
the tree you'll want to make them to.
I still need to clean things up quite a bit.
These are the things I *know* I've broken :)
* -e (abcde now grabs the data first, then asks you yes/no whether or not
you want to edit it)
* Various artists handling (I plan to reimplement this, but not with
command-line options, I'll handle it more like -e)
* -l 2. It's now just -l, since -l 3 will never be implemented.
* 'cddb-tool get'. It's been split into 'cddb-tool query' and 'cddb-tool
read', with abcde handling the user interaction.
There's a few new features that aren't quite there yet - abcde will now pick
up where you left off, but it isn't smart enough just yet to not redo
certain things.
I still need to update all the documentation. There's probably still a few
dozen quoting issues left reaching out to bite me. I haven't checked whether
it runs under ash or other sh's yet either.
Oh, and if it breaks you get to keep both pieces. :)
