This is absolutely not the right fix.
Gracenote has taken their ball and gone home. They have made it very clear
that we are not welcome anymore.
Sure, I could release a version of cddb-tool that claims to be xmcd, and
that may work for a while, but I'd be surprised if Gracenote doesn't find
some way to block that too, and then all my users find themselves on the
workaround treadmill again (and again, and again).
I'll release abcde 2.0 Real Soon Now(tm) so there's not much point in
releasing 1.1.3 just to change a default. In any case, such a change
wouldn't make its way into potato.
Set abcde to use FreeDB by putting this in your abcde.conf:
CDDBURL=http://freedb.freedb.org/~cddb/cddb.cgi
