Parados |
|
A parados was a defilade traverse constructed on the terre-parade of a fortification to intercept reverse fire passing over one parapet that would otherwise strike the interior side of the opposite parapet. The position, orientation, and dimensions of a parados were determined through the process of defilading during a fortification's initial design stages.
